Chai-Inspired Latte

INGREDIENTS:

1/2 mug milk

1/2 mug water

2 black tea bags

1 spoonful honey

3 shakes cinnamon

2 shakes cardamom

1 small piece ginger

1 dash vanilla extract

DIRECTIONS:

1) Heat the water, tea bags, and ginger in a pot on the stove.

2) Warm the milk in the microwave for about 20 seconds and then put it in a blender along with the honey, spices and vanilla. Blend until light and frothy.

3) Once the tea-ginger mixture starts to boil, strain it into a mug and mix with the frothy milk

 

SUBSTITUTION IDEAS:

Milk —> Milk alternatives (sweeter milks like soy or oat work well)

Honey —> Sugar, maple syrup, agave (you also don’t have to sweeten this recipe at all)

Spices —> Use what you have, even just cinnamon will taste good

Ginger —> Ginger powder
